Train-the-Trainer Workshop Series

Developing Job Aids

Job aids take complex information and "speed deliver" it to the user.  The "speed delivery" happens because someone takes the time to organize information in a way that is helpful. The user does not have to wade through long paragraphs to find what they need or search through several references. With job aids, information is at their fingertips when they need it and in a format that is useful. The purpose of this short and focused workshop is to teach participants to build job aids to supplement or replace training, and to support job performance.

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify when job aids might be helpful to learners

  • Select the appropriate format for the job aid

  • Draft, test and revise job aids
