Conducting Training Needs Assessments & Front-end Analyses

How do you know when people in your organization need training?  How do you know what kind of training they need? Getting at the right answers to these simple questions can be a difficult process.  Many factors affect job performance and training adequately addresses only a few. All too often precious resources are squandered on training that misses the mark. The purpose of this workshop is to teach participants to design and conduct strategic training needs assessments to enhance the success of their training efforts.

As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Carry out a process for determining when training is needed

  • Design and implement an assessment of what kind of training is needed

  • Conduct job and task analyses to determine training objectives and content
